Forgeable Alloys
High Performance Alloys has the capability to produce materials at their Tipton, Indiana plant. The bar production can be performed hot (to 2300 Deg F), warm (1200-1600 Deg F), and cold (room temperature, to ambient.) Bar production can start as large as 3" diameter, and down to 1/2" diameter finish. Open die forging is also available on our 750 ton Lake Erie forge press. Capable of 12" DIA and under in most grades. Open die forging compliments our radial forge capabilities, allowing product to start as large as 12" Diameter and we could provide back in 1/2" Diameter rods.

Most alloys that do not contain a high concentration of Nickel, Cobalt, Molybdenum, Chromium, Tantalum, or Titanium may not be feasible for our conversion. However, we will look at the application and the delivery needs before determining whether HPA can assist in a project.
We have produced material for the medical, aerospace, down-hole, chemical, marine as well as nuclear applications. We will give your project the same special attention.
